Product Description
TELESCOPIC CHUTES manufactured by EEPL is unique in design and quite different in features from similar others in use in industry. The equipment is used for prevention of dust pollution while discharging dry & fine dust from hopper on trucks or while stock pilling on ground by discharging from belt conveyor. Basically, the equipment comprises of several pipes telescoping consecutively where the inner most pipe which is top most, is bolted to the discharge flange of hopper or conveyor chute. A drive unit is concentrically mounted around the top most pipe by means of wire ropes resulting in telescoping action of all the pipes. Two nos, limit switches mounted within the drive unit determine the upper &lower limits of telescoping distance.
At the start of dust discharge the Telescopic chute is lowered close to the level where dust will stock pile. As the heap builds-up the chute is incrementally raised to ensure that the height of fall of the dust is minimum which results minimum dust generation. As annular suction hood provided around the bottom most pipe and connected through a flexible pipe to the nearest Bag filter suction point ensures that whatever small quantity of dust is generated at the discharge point is sucked-in and doesnt escape to the atmosphere. The control system for raising the chute incrementally can be manual push button operated or can be electronic sensor operated which senses the heap surface as it comes close to the chute. The main advantage of the Telescopic chute offered by EEPL is that it doesnt require any platform at the hopper level as is a must with other types of Telescopic chutes. It also doesnt require a long and clumsy rope, pulley, & rope drum arrangement to be installed on the Platform.
